Congregational Yearbook
Celebrating the ministry and mission of our congregations across the Presbytery of the Peaks
Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church
About Our Congregation
Nestled in the shadow of the Blue Ridge, we are a multigenerational congregation of about 150 members drawn together by deep roots and a shared commitment to worship, learning, and serving our neighbors. We have worshiped in this building since 1921 and recently completed a major restoration of our historic sanctuary.
Our Community
Our town has seen hard years as manufacturing declined, but a new generation is finding ways to build here. We walk alongside families navigating change and uncertainty, and see our role as a steady, welcoming presence in the center of town.
God at Work
This year a young family who had never attended church walked in on Christmas Eve and came back the next Sunday. They are now leading our young families ministry. We didn't plan it โ God did.
Showing God's Love
We partner with the local elementary school to provide backpacks filled with food every Friday for children who may not have enough to eat over the weekend. What started as 10 bags is now 45 every week.
๐ Prayer Focus
For wisdom as we discern our next chapter, and for the families in our community who are rebuilding. For our youth group, which is growing in ways that surprise and delight us.

Valley Community Presbyterian
About Our Congregation
A small but mighty congregation of 45 members who have been worshiping together through floods, recessions, and a global pandemic. We joke that if you show up, you're on three committees.
God at Work
This year we launched a community pantry that now serves 60 families a month โ more than we ever imagined when we started with a folding table and some canned goods.
๐ Prayer Focus
For the families we serve through our pantry, and for volunteers as we grow beyond what our small membership can carry alone.
Peaks Mountain Chapel
About Our Congregation
High up in the Highlands, we are a community shaped by the land and the people who have worked it for generations. Our worship is simple, our fellowship is deep, and our door is always open.
Showing God's Love
We partner with the local school to provide after-school tutoring and host a weekly community meal that draws people who might never otherwise walk through a church door.
๐ Prayer Focus
For our pastor search โ we've been without a settled pastor for 18 months and trust that God is preparing the right person for this place.
