Horizons' Study for 2011--2012

In the
2011-2012   Confessing the Beatitudes,
author Margaret Aymer introduces the study by noting that the Gospel writers credit Jesus with two slightly different lists of beatitudes: Matthew 5:1-12 in which Jesus teaches 9 beatitudes (in the list we know so well as "the Beatitudes") In Luke 6:20-26, Jesus teaches four beatitudes similar to the list in Matthew.  Aymer presents the beatitudes of both Matthew and Luke together.
